“My technique is water. Pigment is simply a medium for water to leave its mark. Water connects me to what is most vital — to movement and constant change. My works are the trace of what happens with water as I paint, in a continuous interplay between form and formlessness. Water softens and brings everything to life. The body, nature, and vitality are at the center of my work. Without a doubt, water is the magic.”

It begins with the idea that there is a nectar — a sweet substance that connects us to desire, to what attracts us and sets us in motion. Flowers produce their nectar and offer it in an exchange that allows life to continue. I wonder what ours might be. What do we have to give? What attracts us, what moves us? And if there were a substance flowing through everything that exists, what would it be?
